Dinner meetings are normally held the second Wednesday of every month and usually start with a no-host "happy hour" at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner served at 7:00 pm, with the speaker's talk beginning at 8:15 pm.

Please make meeting reservations and entree selection (beef, chicken and vegetarian cuisines are typical options) at http://www.ossc.org/register/ or by contacting our Arrangements Chair, Owen Cupp,  The typical price for dinner is $25; $10 for students.  You may attend the talk only at no charge.

Directions: (1) From the 5 freeway exit at Los Feliz (exit 141A) then turn left onto Los Feliz, turn right onto Hillhurst Avenue and then a slight right onto Vermont Avenue which becomes Vermont Canyon Road, which becomes Mt Hollywood Drive which becomes Observatory Avenue;
(2) From the 101 freeway exit at Hollywood Boulevard (exit 8B), turn left onto Hollywood Boulevard.  Turn left onto Western Avenue which becomes Los Feliz Boulevard.  Turn left onto Fern Dell Drive, which becomes Western Canyon Road.  Turn Left onto Observatory Avenue.
LAX Plaza Hotel (formerly Ramada Plaza): 6333 Bristol Parkway, Culver City  (310) 484-7000
Directions: (1) coming South on the 405 Freeway, the easiest way to the hotel is: go east on 90 Freeway, turn right on Slauson Ave, then right on Bristol Parkway;
(2) going North on 405 Freeway, the easiest way to the hotel is: take the Slauson/Sepulveda exit, turn right, then right on Green Valley Circle, and right on Bristol Parkway to the Ramada Plaza on the right.

OR take the Metro Rail Gold Line to the Sierra Madre Villa Station. Leave your car in El Segundo, Hollywood, Long Beach or Norwalk and take the Train!

Directions: Take the 105 Freeway west to the end at Sepulveda Boulevard, turn left (south) one half mile to El Segundo Boulevard then turn right into Raytheon visitor parking.
OR Take the 405 Freeway north and exit at El Segundo. Turn left (west) one mile then turn left into Raytheon visitor parking.
OR Take the Metro Rail Green Line to the El Segundo Station.  The walk is short.  Leave your car in Pasadena, Hollywood, Long Beach or Norwalk and take the Train!
