Letter from the Editor

Published on 9/22/2017
Dear Reader,
We have a new team this year. Former OSSC Editor Scott Rowe has allowed me to take this task and responsibility. I want to thank Scott Rowe and the Editors before me who also supported the OSSC. My name is Patrick E. Murphy. I have been a student member of the OSSC and an individual member of this society for many years. I am supporting the growth and plans the new officers have discussed recently.
Bo Wang is currently working with our members and Officers to protect the society, its members and our future.
If you want to talk to the society about STEM education, Technician Apprenticeships, IVC ATEP, High Technology manufacturing processes, or UCI Extension classes email me, check the OSSC.org website or register and come to our meetings. Hope to see you all soon at an event or meeting.

I currently work as an Opto-Mechanical/ Fiber Optic Technician supporting the efforts of Caltech Optical Observatories, JPL, and Palomar Observatories.
I
