OSSC Golf Chair
OSSC President (1991-1992)

-Harold F. Johnson Jr.-

Harold "Hal" Johnson Jr. is the President of Harold Johnson Optical Laboratories, Inc.  The company was founded by Hal's father, Harold Johnson Sr., in 1967 to provide lens designers and engineering companies a source for breadboard models, prototypes, and production optics.  Customers have relied on Harold Johnson Optical Laboratories to build and test hardware to exact design specifications to assure product reliability.  Hal's father served the Optical Society of Southern California as a Councilor in 1960 when the Society was less than ten years old.  Hal Jr. has served the Society since 1986 when he served as Arrangements Chair.  He has held eight different offices, some multiple times others simultaneously, including President in 1991-1992.  Hal has served as the chair for the annual OSSC Fred Hansen Golf Tournament since 2008.
