Reynard, a leading manufacturer in custom optics, has an immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background as well as electrical experience. We offer competitive wages and a safe and friendly working environment.


Basic Function:


The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the facility’s day-to-day operation, including the installation, repair, and monitoring of all facility subsystems. This is a mid-level position requiring exposure to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing conditions.


Requirements:


· US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (Citizen, Permanent Resident)


· High school diploma, or equivalent


· Good communication skills with fluency in compositional and conversational English


· Ability to read blueprints and apply basic math skills


· Ability to drive a forklift, training provided as necessary


· Competent using power tools, electrical equipment, and test equipment (gauges and multi-meters)


· Ability to stand for long periods of time


· Ability to lift/carry at least 50lbs


· Use of safety glasses and gloves/PPE


· Exposure to chemicals, solvents, and oils


· Excellent attention to detail


· Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


Preferred Experience:


· Technical certification or 2+ years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electronics, vacuum or related fields


· Experience with optical components/coating chambers


· Experience with vacuum chamber operation


· Experience in a manufacturing environment


Responsibilities:·


· Electrical tasks such as troubleshooting automated equipment, general building electrical, rewiring equipment, and building and automating machines.


· Perform equipment maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.


· Assist in the building and repair of systems and equipment.


· Understanding and maintaining air conditioning systems, clean room air handling systems, and vacuum pumps


· Replace belts, pulleys, motors, and pumps on various equipment


· Disassemble, clean, lubricate and prepare parts for reassembly.


· Execute Preventative Maintenance tasks on-time and with quality


· Advocate and champion Reynard’s ISO9001 based Quality Management System, including participation in continuous improvement ideas and conduct in accordance with the Quality Policy


· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
