Summary: We are a world class innovation center located in Monrovia, CA with an IMMEDIATE opening for a Senior Experimental Scientist / Senior Engineer - Optics. For the past 11 years, ChromoLogic has grown organically and built a unique model for developing disruptively innovative solutions in Medical and Aerospace Markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied optics – including opto-mechanical design, optical instrumentation, and free-space optics. We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual who is able to contribute to high-functioning multi-disciplinary research teams developing some groundbreaking solutions in healthcare. The candidate must have a proven track record in building complex opto-electro-mechanical systems either independently or as a team. This opportunity provides an exceptional chance at career growth and potential for future leadership opportunities.
Job Duties
• Technically contribute toward the company’s on-going programs in next-generation biomedical instrumentation
• A subject matter expert in opto-mechano-electro design
• Initiate original ideas (product and research)
• Collaborate on highly multi-disciplinary internal and external teams to advance research and product development goals
• Mentor junior scientists and engineers
• Prepare technical documents
Qualifications/requirements
• MS/PhD in Optics/Physics/Electrical Engineering with 4+ years' experience in an industrial setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Record of technical leadership and initiating new novel researc
• Government contracts require applicant be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card).
