Development Test Engineer for Tunable Diode Laser ...

The Development Test Engineer is an opportunity to immediately contribute to the integration, validation and qualification of new products & applications for gas analytic measurement systems and equipment. This engineer will work with engineering, R&D, and production team members to perform development testing of components, subsystems, and systems from the development phase through final verification and validation. This position is ideal for someone with discipline to develop tests, test infrastructure, and test automation as well as perform tests, trouble shoot, collect data, analyze data, and present results clearly for products under development as part of the development team. A combination of hands-on and analytical skills is required, and an eagerness to learn the details of our products and perform detailed tests.



Essential functions include:
• Planning, execution & documentation of functional, EMI / ESD, structural, and environmental tests per regulatory, safety, quality & customer standards.
• Develop, build & automate test equipment and systems, perform tests, collect data, analyze results, document and present results in a clear understandable manner for product performance, functional, and environmental tests.
• Perform root cause analysis and design of experiments for subsystems and systems.
• Test prototype and production designs, analyze data, and clearly present conclusions.
Qualifications:
• Experience writing and implementing Test Engineering processes and procedures.
• Experience in performing development, performance, environmental and validation tests.
• Excellent communication skills, both in technical reporting and presentations
• Basic Understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software Systems.
• Familiarity with electrical, optical, laser, and mechanical test equipment.
• Experience in data Acquisition, analysis and statistics using C#, C++ , Python, Matlab or Labview.

Desired Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of Certification for hazardous locations: CES, ATEX, IECX, etc.
Education and Working Experience:
• BS. in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years industrial experience with at least 3 years in development engineering test.
