Spend a bit of Valentine’s Day sharing your love of optics and photonics with high school students, their family members, and friends. The OSSC will be one of over a dozen companies and organizations sponsoring demonstration tables from 10am to 2pm. Past participants included: NASA, Planetary Society, Society of Women Engineers and JPL.
Volunteers are needed from 10am to 2pm (divided into four shifts). Stay as long as you like. The Robotics competition (featuring teams from SoCal, Arizona and Nevada) will extend until about 6pm.
Free Parking is available in the Madison Lot starting at 8am. Enter from Madison St. just north of Colorado Blvd. Tell them you are with the Optical Society of Southern California. Please try to carpool so all volunteers will have convenient parking.
